New Blog Feature: Weekly #RunSurvey
Each Monday, I will post a short survey with a running related question. On Friday of the same week, I will summarize the results of the survey and share the findings through my blog post.
This week’s survey is: “When Did You Call Yourself A Runner?”
As a relatively new runner, I experienced an identity crisis as a runner. I was reluctant to call myself a “runner.” It was almost as if I felt like I wasn’t officially a runner or that I would be a fraud if I called myself a runner because I wasn’t really a runner.
I wanted some kind of endorsement. Maybe a runner’s license? Perhaps a written test I could pass? How do you know when you call can officially call yourself a runner?

So, I pose this question to the running community. When did you call yourself a runner?
Take the short survey below (less than 5 minutes). I’ll compile and share the results of the survey on Friday’s blog.
Thanks for participating in #RunSurvey!

Last year I started a Couch to 5K program and have yet to complete it, thanks to my family going through illness after illness. I want to pick it back up, but what I do is most certainly not running. It’s more like a very slow jog. I have visions of running through the countryside with the wind blowing through my hair, but have doubts that will ever be a reality!
Leslie and Julie – you might surprise yourself! I never imagined that I would ever be a runner. The key to my success was to join a running group. They were positive and inspiring. I really enjoyed the people, and wanted to spend time with them. That kept me running! And now, I can’t imagine not running!
I am a wanna be runner popping in from Ultimate Blog Challenge facebook group! I used to run a couple miles daily in college and want to start with the couch to 5K. So far all I’ve managed is… recliner.
Thank you for inspiring me!
