Saturday Shorts!

mother runners work harder

Agree – Moms do work hard, but I think that dads are pulling more of the weight than they used to. It has certainly changed since my childhood growing up in the 1970′s. Perhaps this one should say – Parents Have To Work Harder. I truly had no idea how much free time I had before we had kids, did you?

no run = cranky

Perhaps I should make a Quitting Diet Coke version of this one – Quitting Diet Coke = headache and cranky! I’m sure I’ll be cranky next week! That’s a short term problem for a long term health gain!

Washing Your Hands

Funny Story To Share About Dumping Diet Coke

If you read yesterday’s blog, you know that on Monday, I am going to quit Diet Coke after a many years long love affair. I’ve been ramping down my daily consumption of Diet Coke and drinking more water. Yesterday, I got a Sonic Route 44 Ice Water. Little Buddy asked if he could have some.

I said sure, thinking to myself, “See! Already you are setting a great example for your kids!”

He handed it back to me and said, “I just want to let you know that I put my hands in there, Mamma.” Confused, I cautiously asked, “Why?”

He was very pleased with himself. “Oh, I needed to wash my hands because they were sticky. But it’s OK, Mamma, you can still drink it!”
