Three Little Words

I’m inspired today by an article by Steve Kamb from at Nerd Fitness. In this blog post, titled “3 Words That You Need to Tell Yourself Every Day,” Steve shares a recent epiphany that has changed the way he lives his life.

The three little words are: Do it now.

When to go running? Do it now (as soon as you wake up – in my opinion).
Dirty dishes after dinner? Do it now.
Don’t put off email to respond to later. Do it now.

Steve makes a compelling argument about how, when we put things off, we create more work for ourselves later. “Do it now” is about being efficient with your time and with your life. He also challenges his readers to a 30-day “Do it now” challenge.

Thanks, Steve, for sharing your epiphany. You’re changing the way I am approaching my Saturday. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go do the dishes, because I’m going to “Do it now.”

  1. Thanks for the note about “doing it now.”
I am not able to run in the early morning,
as I have much to do. However, when I do
run I have a rule to run before noon for
one hour. I usually start my run at 10 am
or so. As far as breakfast dishes, they
are done before my run. Good advice.
    Thanks, Elaine Stewart
