I Bet On San Francisco
So I saw this clever challenge surrounding the Superbowl. You pick a team, and if your team loses, you have to run the number of miles that is the difference in the score of the two teams. Funny, right?
The first time I saw it, I chuckled. The second time I saw it, I started thinking more about it. The third time I saw it, I didn’t think at all. I said, “I’m in – I pick San Francisco!” Now, I have no real knowledge of NFL teams right now and so this is a complete guess.
So now, I’m wondering – did I pick the right team? I asked my Facebook Friends and received the following responses:
“Maybe. I think so.”
“If your team wins, do you have to run the difference in the score – but backwards?” (ha ha, very funny)
“I assume you hop the Ravens don’t blow out the Niners something line 45-10… that could hurt!”
“You better prepare to run a marathon, girl! Go RAVENS!”
OK – What do you think, dear readers? Let’s all hope the Niners win, ok? Apologies to my Baltimore friends! I’m sure I’ll be on Twitter during and after the game, so if you want to congratulate me – or give me some grief, as the case may be, feel free to shout out at me! Congratulations to Michele Adler!
Congratulations to Michele Adler, the winner of the Enell Sports Bra Giveaway! She won her choice of an Enell Sports Bra from the giveaway sponsored by Enell. She also wins the Envirosax Enell bag as well.
Michele said, “Wow, I’m so excited! Thanks so much! I have one old Enell bra, and I’m so excited to have a brand new one soon! Enell bras really are the best, especially for running. They leave you totally bounce-free, which is definitely how you want to feel while running.” Congratulations again, Michele! Big thanks to Enell Sports Bras for sponsoring this giveaway.
This week on my blog, I’ll be featuring stories about family fitness. Coincidentally, Big Buddy is riding in a 12-hour mountain bike race in Warda, Texas. The race is called the Dirty Dozen (love that name!). Teams can have 1-4 members, and the objective is to ride as many laps as possible (7-8 mile loop) in 12 hours. Team members rotate during the 12-hours. So, today, my job is to keep the kiddos entertained. Tomorrow, my job is to take care of Big Buddy as he recovers from this race.
He sent this picture from their team area. Looks like a fun race in a great environment. I’d love to be out in the woods all day like that, but I’m certain that I would not be up for riding my bike all day!
February Photo Challenge Pics – Day 2: Favorite Race Shirt
Nursebrennaq sent in this Tower of Terror 10 Miler shirt. I love the design on this!
Mandas78 shared a picture of her all time favorite soft and cozy shirt.
This is what I (OneToughMotherRunner) submitted today for #RunnerPhotos (and, coincidentally, I forgot to tag my picture with the hashtag, #RunnerPhotos!). I love this shirt from my first half. The message of “I am a Runner” is especially powerful for a new runner like me. This is also on a cotton long sleeve shirt, and the finishers shirt is a technical shirt. I wear this long-sleeve cotton shirt all the time!
